<p><p>A birthday book, with a page per day for each day of the year, with colour lithographed frontispiece and 13 further colour chromolithographs, all tissue-guarded, by J G Bach of Leipzig. Designed by HRH The Princess Beatrice, the youngest daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. In buckram boards with bevelled edges, extensive gilt decorations front and spine. All edges gilt. Floral endpapers. The boards are little soiled and gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends. Mild crack on front hinge. A few names have been added to the date pages.
