Not dated but circa 1945. 186pp, with black and white plate illustrations. In brown cloth-covered boards with deep brown titles on spine. A 'Boots Booklover's' bookmark has been tagged into the volume. 8vo. Covers a little worn and rubbed at edges, corners and spine ends rounded. Internally a little spotting on first and last few leaves, slightly loosened. Boots Booklover's Library label on rear paste down endpaper. A light-hearted but insightful account of the author's training and encounters with the Yanks in the British Army during the Second World War.
