1945 reprint of 1932 1st thus edition (third impression). 118pp, colour plate frontispiece and five further colour plate illustrations, all by Harrison Cady. In green cloth boards with black and green stamped illustration and lettering. 12mo. Cloth is a little rubbed and faded at edges. Inscription and previous owner's name, in a child's hand, on front pastedown. A couple of spots on front free endpaper else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original, illustrated, dust jacket, a little soiled, chapped at edges, a few mild creases, some spotting with significant portions of front and rear absent. Dust jacket now protected in Mylar-style wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. Charming vintage book.
