Some faint spotting on upper text block edge.  In its original illustrated dust jacket, a little shelf worn and very slightly bumped at spine head.  </p> <p>The illustrations for American Notes are taken from the Cheap edition of 1850, and the Illustrated Library edition of 1862-8; and those for Pictures from Italy from the first edition, 1846, and the Illustrated Library edition. </p> <p>The Oxford Illustrated Dickens (known as the New Oxford Illustrated Dickens prior to 1966) is a comprehensively illustrated complete set of Dickens work. Each volume includes up to seventy-six early engravings, many of which appeared in the first editions of these works.
