<p>Stated first edition in the title.  Title page states Binns' Edition.  100pp, including many illustrated contemporary advertisements.  In stiff card covers.  12mo.  Covers are heavily worn, rubbed around edges, creased along spine with lower third of backstrip absent, tanned and soiled.  Some spotting and toning to text block edges and pages else internally neat, clean and tight.</p> <p>A collection now vintage recipes, giving insight into the food trends and cookery styles of the 1920s.  Includes many advertisements, particularly for goods and wares from Binns' department stores.  Miss Mason, the author, was Principal of the Northern Counties' School of Cookery and Household Economy.  Binns started out in the late 19th century as a drapery business in Sunderland but grew into an major Department Stoires with stores all over the north of England.  It was eventually bought out by House of Fraser in 1953.  This little booklet then serves also a part of the corproate history of one of the world's most famous department stores.</p>
