Pagination continues from volume one: 63-122, [2] plus 57 leaves of plate illustrations, some in colour, one (of the Rosetta Stone) folding out to larger size and another similar showing casts from the Temple of Beit-E-Welle in Nubia and the Conquest and Tribute of the Ethiopians and Ramses II's conquests . Card covered boards (worn, rounded and rubbed at corners, rubbed and in places chipped at edges, discoloured, marked, and cracked on spine folds). Shaken, text block partially detached from backstrip. Internally neat, clean and bright barring some occasional spotting. A collection of historical illustrations by Arundale, inspired and derived from the collections of the British Museum, with textual descriptions an account of the monumental history of those works of art from ancient Egypt which illustrate the reigns of different monarchs, their iconography and the state of the arts.
