Boards worn and rubbed at edges, two short unusual cuts on upper edge, some marks especially on lighter spine cloth, spine label a little chipped at edges. Internally a hint of toning, gutters strained at front at back but still firmly bound. Previous owner's name on front free endpaper. This evocative dictionary may be entitled 'small' - and indeed it is small the voluminous on which it is based - but it is not a small volume. As an English to Latin dictionary, great pains were taken by the compilers to capture the different senses of English words and provide a Latin translation. Thick 8vo.
