Not dated but circa 1920. Two volumes bound together. 92pp; 44pp. Both volumes elegantly illustrated with line drawings, woodcuts etc. In green cloth-covered boards with black lettering and motif (boards a little rubbed at edges, a tad faded, creased on spine). Internally a hint of tanning, with some mild marks on front endpapers including a stamp from Essex Education Committee. Binding weakened but holding. A lovely little volume containing details of British Birds, descriptions of each, natural history picture lessons, diagrams of birds' heads, beaks and feet. Slim 12mo. Hard to find title.
